Normally, engaged couples are not looking for wedding dates in July (at least not here in Kentucky). It’s an ungodly hot month and with outdoor weddings being the most popular, insanely hot weather is less than ideal. However, sometimes important moments and dates happen in July; which is the case for Austin and Jessie. It was important to them to be married under the Buck Moon (which is the full moon in July). But instead of telling you about the wonders, joys and fantasticalness of this (sweaty) wedding day, I’m going to share a prayer to the Buck Moon I found online I feel adequately describes the day:
I raise my hands over my head,
standing proud like a young buck,
with antlers growing to full maturity
I clasp my hands over my heart,
with a beat, to signify my love &
respect for Mother Nature
As I explore my own inner world
so I may find my spiritual place
I pray to the Buck Moon to help
me find balance & grace
