I’m not gonna lie, I’m super proud of these images.
Haifa and Matt requested to have their engagement photos taken at their wedding venue (Huber’s Orchard & Winery) which, usually, isn’t a problem. However, they currently live in Georgia and their venue is in Indiana. They knew they would be in town this weekend for a wedding so decided to also schedule their engagement session. Well, it just so happened to be a “black out” weekend for Huber’s meaning they won’t schedule photos of any kind. I don’t know how Haifa worked her magic but after a few emails back and forth, Huber’s made an exception for us and allowed us to come shoot. They did however request we come shoot from 11am to 1pm. And anyone who knows anything about photography knows that is the WORSE time of day to shoot anything outside. And, of course, there were hardly any clouds in the sky that day. But, instead of being upset about it, or going into the session thinking they were all going to be crap photos because I would be shooting in noon light, I took the whole situation as a challenge. And I don’t care if I sound cocky, but I think I did a damn fine job.
