Johnna & Michael booked me only 5 months before their wedding; and on a date I had not intended to book anyone (I like have a Saturday off every once and while).  My friend Courtney (a wedding planner) messaged me to consider booking her friend (Johnna) who was having trouble with her current wedding photographer. Now, I stay in my own lane. I don’t meddle in other people’s businesses and I don’t steal clients from other photographers. There’s enough sunshine for all of us – I don’t take other’s light. However, Johnna & Michael had booked with someone who was being labeled a scam artist on more than one facebook group. Whether they were scamming people or not, I don’t know. But, what I do know is they shot their engagement photos and then went AWOL – not even getting any images from them.
I firmly believe planning and getting married should be fun. It’s definitely going to be stressful but there should be some aspects that are enjoyable. I HATE when other wedding vendors stress out the bride for no good reason; or do crazy shit like this and just disappear.  This is why I decided to go ahead and book a wedding on my one weekend off in June. And I’m so glad I did. 🙂
