Sean + Zach

Sean & Zach contacted me just 4 weeks before their wedding date. What was planned as just a regular vacation to Jamaica, turned into an elopement! Lucky for them, I have a passport. 🙂
It was beyond a pleasure, and a honor, to photograph Sean & Zach’s Jamaican elopement. Although there were a lot of similarity between an elopement and a traditional wedding, it was definitely unique. Sean still got her hair professionally done and she did her own make-up; the big difference being she did this all in her swimsuit! She helped Zach get ready and they did a first look on the balcony of their room. They had a beachfront ceremony, with cupcakes & champagne afterwards. The biggest difference, to me as the photographer, was I wasn’t just the photographer. Sean and Zach told their families they were eloping but no one else. With no other guests, bridesmaids or groomsmen, I played a lot of roles. I not only photographed it, but I did the jobs a bridesmaids and mother of the bride would do. So I had to careful and quickly switch mindsets and also know when to set my camera down just be a friend in the moment. Luckily, my husband came along for the trip so he was Zach’s impromptu Best Man; keeping the drinks flowing and taking him snorkeling while Sean got ready.
These two are a ton of fun and I’m beyond grateful they allowed me to share it with them.
